Find answers to common questions about our scholarship program and application process.
No money (hard cash) will be given directly to students, but the aid is provided through:
- School fees will be paid directly to the financial department of the institution in the form of a check or money order.
- Costs of room and board will be sent to the housing department of the institution in the form of a check or money order.
- A maximum of three sets of uniforms/clothes will be given to the student.
- School supplies (books, writing utensils, a school bag, etc.) will be directly given to the student.
Based on the situation of the student and the available funds the scholarship will be awarded.
The determining factors are:
- Academic performance of the student for the past two years
- Family financial status
- Whether the student is an orphan, part of a single parent household or a family with disabled parent(s)
- Other family obligations
The application does not contain information about the region or caste of the applicant. Once an application is received, it is tagged with a number for further processing. The selection committee therefore does not know the gender, caste, religion or region of the applicant.

Completed application should be sent through Indian Postal Service (not through courier services). Please refer to "Contact Us" page for postal address. Once the applications are completely filled, Alambana will summarize necessary applicant's data into one page "pdf" file; to be downloaded and sent by the application to Alambana India with the signed declarations.
- Complete applications should be received before July 31st
- 1st year B.Tech/Medical students can apply before September 30th
- Applications received after last date will not be considered

Every application must be endorsed by the principal or head of the institution to verify that the applicant is eligible for the scholarship based on merit and need. Income certificate, death certificates, marks sheets should have been uploaded online. Only the sheet with principal endorsement is to be sent through postal services.
